Schedule an Appointment

Conducting Business with ARA:
In-person visits to the Houston Permitting Center may be scheduled by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please go to www.houstonpermittingcenter.org and follow the steps below:

1. Click “Contact” at the top of the page and select “Appointments".
2. Click ticket icon “Online Queuing Service”
3. When the page loads, click on the button, "Schedule an Appointment" and select "next".
4. On the next page, select "ARA Regulatory Affairs" and select "next".
5. On the next page, select “Burglar Alarm Permits”, “Business Licensing”, Short-Term Rental”, or "Vehicle for Hire" and select "next".
6. On the next page, select any of the dates highlighted in blue and then select a time, once you have done that, select "next".
7. On the next page, enter all your contact information and select "next"
8. The next page is a review of your appointment time and information.  If all looks good, click "confirm"
9. You will receive an email with your confirmed appointment.  You will need to bring your email confirmation either on paper or via your phone to check in for your appointment at the Houston Permitting Center 1002 Washington Avenue, Houston, Texas 77002. 
10. For Short-Term Rental appointments, if you have any questions about an STR appointment, please call 832-394-8802 or email STR@houstontx.gov.
