Pedicabs Ordinance
The City of Houston Administration & Regulatory Affairs (ARA) Department is considering amendments to propose to City Council regarding the Pedicab Ordinance (Chapter 46, Article III).
Below is a summary of the proposed amendments:
- Updates to definitions including pedicab, electric assist and transaxle system
- Requirement for bona fide, fixed place of business for permitted operator
- Restrictions on LED lighting
- Requirement for operator to wear safety vest
- Prohibition against use of transaxle systems
