Harris County Joint Processing Center (JPC Jail)
The Joint Processing Center (JPC) is a partnership between Harris County and the City of Houston that consolidated all Houston Police Department (HPD) and Harris County Jail prisoner processing operations into one modern facility.
Responsibilities
The personnel assigned to the Joint Processing Center work collaboratively with the Harris County Jail personnel and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to ensure that prisoners and information are processed into the system properly.
Jail Safekeeping (Property Retention)
When defendants are placed into jail by Houston Police officers, items that are too large to remain in the storage area of the Joint Processing Center are stored at the Houston Police Department storage facility.
