December 15, 2025 - Houston police are investigating the fatal hit and run crash that occurred in the 11900 block of East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 1:50 a.m. on Sunday (December 14).

The identity of the deceased female is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Barrow and Officer T. Johnson reported:

Officers learned two people were attempting to cross the freeway when a vehicle that appears to be a red sedan, possibly a Nissan, struck one of them. Multiples other vehicles then struck the pedestrian (victim). Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

The first vehicle that struck the female did not stop to render aid.

The other vehicles remained at the scene.
