December 15, 2025 - Houston police are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 10700 Westheimer about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 13).

The identity of the deceased female is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Barrow and Officer C. Ballard reported:

The driver of a blue Nissan Rogue was traveling eastbound in the 10700 block of Westheimer when the vehicle struck a female standing in the roadway. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Rogue initially left the scene but returned. The driver did not show signs of intoxication and was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
