July 22, 2025 - Houston police have learned a victim injured in a crash at 6700 Telephone Road about 9 p.m. on March 7 has died.

The victim is identified as Daniel Montoya, 57.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Officer N. Kumar and J. Lee reported: 

The driver of a white Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Telephone Road when he struck a pedestrian standing in the main lanes of the roadway, not in  a crosswalk.  The male (victim) was transported to an area hospital.

The victim, Mr. Montoya, was pronounced deceased by doctors on July 21.

The investigation is continuing.
