July 24, 2025 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred in the 7000 block of Southwest Freeway service road about 10:25 a.m. today (July 24).

The identity of the deceased male, 27, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer T. Riley reported:

A gray Ford F150 pickup truck and a green Kawasaki motorcycle were traveling northbound on the service road at the above address. The Ford made an unsafe turn in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the right passenger side of the truck. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the operator of the motorcycle to Ben Taub where he was pronounced deceased. 

The investigation is continuing.
