June 5, 2025 - Houston police are investigating the death of a female found at 5532 Marcus Street about 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday (June 4).

The identity of the deceased female, 52, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Davis and M. Althaus reported:

Officers responded to a report of an assault at a residence at the above address and found the victim suffering from what appeared to be possible blunt force trauma.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female deceased at the scene.  

At this time the investigation is ongoing as detectives investigate the death of the female.
