Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Crash at 4200 Bennington Street

May 19, 2025 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal crash at 4200 Bennington Street about 6:50 p.m. on Saturday (May 17).

Abdul Jubay Davis, 42, is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 262nd State District Court. A booking photo of Davis, who remains hospitalized, is not available at this time.  

The identity of the deceased male, 38, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant V. Vo and Officer K. Stout reported:

The male driver of a gray Ford F150 truck was traveling at a high rate of speed near the above address when he ran the red light and struck a red Chevrolet Impala. The driver of the Chevrolet Impala lost control, rolled over and struck a black Honda Civic. 

Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male driver of the Honda deceased at the scene. The male driver of the Impala was transported to an area hospital for his injuries. The passenger of the Ford truck was treated and released at the scene 

The driver of the Ford truck, Davis, was transported to an area hospital for treatment.  He was determined to be intoxicated and was subsequently charged for his role in this crash.
