October 22, 2025 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on skeletal remains found at 1900 Ruiz Street about 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 21).

The identity, gender and cause of death of the individual are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Garcia and G. Herrera reported:

Officers responded to a report of skeletal remains found in a portable restroom at the above address. HPD homicide detectives and investigators with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences confirmed the skeletal remains were human.

The investigation is pending autopsy results.
