Can Blitz Day - Pickup
Can Blitz makes it faster and easier for Houston residents to get new or replacement trash cans (black bins). Pick up your container directly at one of three locations Monday through Friday, with extra hours on select Saturdays, for quick and convenient service.
Event Details
Monday, – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.
Three Convenient Pickup Locations:
- SWMD Service Center – North: 5614 Neches St., Houston, TX 77026
- SWMD Service Center – Southeast: 1506 Central St., Houston, TX 77012
- Environmental Service Center – South: 11500 S. Post Oak Rd., Houston, TX 77035
What to Bring
- A copy of your water bill (for address verification)
- Your 311 Service Request (SR) number
- If replacing a can, please bring the damaged can to receive your replacement

If you’ve been waiting for a replacement or new trash can, this is your chance to pick one up right away.
This event is designed for residents who would like to pick up their trash can instead of waiting for home delivery. If you are unable to attend, your can will still be delivered to your home. The pickup event simply provides a faster option.
