  Collection And Facility Schedule

 

HOUSTON — The City of Houston Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) announces an adjusted curbside collection schedule in observance of Presidents Day. Curbside services and facility operations will follow the schedule outlined below. Residents whose regular collection day falls on Monday should place their trash and recycling carts out for collection on Tuesday, February 17. Residents whose regular collection day falls on Tuesday should place their carts out for collection on Wednesday, February 18.

There will be no changes for residents who receive Thursday or Friday collection. Those residents should place their containers out on their regularly scheduled collection day.

Monday, February 16, 2026 (Presidents Day)

  • No curbside collection. (Monday customers set carts out on Tuesday.)
  • All facilities and administrative offices are closed, including Residential Drop Off Centers Environmental Service Center, Westpark Recycling Center, and Reuse Warehouse  

Tuesday, February 17, 2026
  • Monday collections serviced (Tuesday customers set carts out Wednesday.)
  • All facilities and administrative offices reopen, including Residential Drop Off Centers, Environmental Service Center, Westpark Recycling Center, and Reuse Warehouse
Wednesday, February 18, 2026
  • Tuesday collections will be serviced
Thursday, February 19, 2026
  • Regular collection schedule resumes.
