Why We Need You!
BARC takes in an average of 20,000 animals each year from the Houston community. Yet our capacity as a shelter is less than 500 pets! In order to help as many pets as possible find loving homes, we need amazing volunteers like you to open your heart and your homes to BARC pets.
From tiny newborn kittens to senior dogs, from animals recovering from illness to those needing socialization, many of these pets need special care that only a foster can provide. By fostering, you give these animals the time, space, and love they need to heal and prepare for adoption.
