CITY OF HOUSTON MUNICIPAL COURTS CLOSED WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2025

January 21, 2025 -- Due to inclement weather, the City of Houston Municipal Courts Department will be CLOSED Wednesday, January 22, 2025. All normal court operations will resume on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Case resets will take place in person at all City of Houston court locations beginning Thursday, January 23, 2025, through Thursday, January 30, 2025, until 5 p.m.

Please visit the Municipal Courts’ website at www.houstontx.gov/courts for information on all court locations and hours of operation. It is important to note that if an individual fails to reset their case(s) during the reset period (1/23/2025 through 1/30/2025), an arrest warrant may be issued.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, there will be:

  • No Trials by Judge or Jury. Resets will be given in person at all City of Houston court locations beginning Thursday, January 23, 2025, through Thursday, January 30, 2025, until 5 p.m. Scheduled court settings will resume Thursday, January 23, 2025.
  • No Arraignments. Anyone scheduled for arraignments during this time must come in person Thursday, January 23, 2025, through Thursday, January 30, 2025, to receive a new arraignment date. Scheduled court settings will resume Thursday, January 23, 2025.
  • No Parking Adjudication Hearings. Hearings will resume Thursday, January 23, 2025.
  • No Jury Service. Jury service will resume Thursday, January 23, 2025. You do not need to reschedule your jury service if scheduled during the closure period.
