  • Program eligibility and application requirements
  • Navigating the application process
  • Home affordability fundamentals, including:
    • Escrowing taxes and insurance
    • Understanding PITI (Principal, Interest, Taxes, and Insurance)
    • Deferred maintenance costs
    • Hidden costs of homeownership

If your home was damaged during Winter Storm Uri, the Single-Family Home Repair Program can help you recover and rebuild. This program provides real support for Houston homeowners, offering financial assistance and guidance throughout the process. The application has been simplified, for an easier process.

Program Highlights:

  • Up to $100,000 for home repairs
  • Up to $300,000 to rebuild your home
  • Up to $10,000 reimbursement if you’ve already paid for repairs
  • HCD team members can assist by delivering and picking up applications
